I know what you are thinking. “A cookie recipe to kick of the New Year? Is this girl trying to sabotage our healthy eating goals already?”
No I am not.
I actually made these cookies on New Year’s Eve. So, technically, they were the last cookie of 2010. Ohhh they were good. The frosting should be declared a drug. I planned to take them to a friends house New Year’s Day, but realized I forgot them when we were half way there. This left me with a plate full of cookies and a tasty little treat for an 8 hour drive home.
It wasn’t until our drive home that Brett and I actually talked about our resolutions for the New Year. Cookie in hand, my cute husband tells me he wants to get “shredded” in 2011, and that he needed my help. (Basically implying that I need to make more healthy meals and quit sending him to work with so many treats.)
Cookie-in-my-hand, I said I could do with a little less sugar myself this year and that overall, I would like to eat healthier too. (I have no plans on getting shredded). Well, since yesterday was January 2nd, we were on the road, and I don’t eat celery while driving, I decided our New Year would start today;) And I didn’t feel bad about eating a cookie or two or three, while driving.
