A good friend of mine just started a price-matching blog for Utah County, Penny Saver, making it even easier to find all of the best prices! Last week, I bought chicken drumsticks for 79 cents a pound!
I’ve recently started price-matching at Wal-Mart and have found it saves us a good chunk of change on groceries. I tried couponing for a couple of months and failed miserably at it. Price-matching is so much easier and doesn’t take near the amount of time and effort that couponing does.
Normally, I’d make my Crock Pot BBQ Chicken Drummies because they are so stinkin’ easy and the chicken practically falls off the bone. This time to change it up a little I used Buffalo Wing Sauce, just for my hubby. I had a little Mary Kay party at my house last week and figured while we got pampered he’d appreciate some spicy, messy, man food!
Crock Pot Buffalo Wing Drumsticks
6-8 chicken drumsticks, thawed and skins removed
1-2 cups Wing Sauce like Frank’s Red Hot
Salt and pepper
Remove skin from chicken drumsticks. I have found the easiest way to do this is hold a paper towel in one and and use it to pull the skin off the chicken.
Place chicken in crock pot, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and pour about 3/4 cup to 1 cup of wing sauce over the chicken. Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
Place chicken in a bowl and toss with more wing sauce before serving if desired.
