Kid Friendly Zucchini Brownies Recipe

These brownies are  made with zucchini, bananas and applesauce, giving you a brownie with only 120 calories, 2 grams of fat, and a whole bunch of vitamins and minerals, and egg free. They taste just as delicious and sweet as your typical chocolate brownie, but come with much less eater’s remorse.

This fudgy Kid-Friendly Zucchini Brownies is a wonderful afternoon snack you and your family will absolutely adore. With simple ingredients comes with simple steps to make this rich, chocolatey zucchini brownies!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup applesauce
  • 2 bananas , medium-sized and mashed
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cup zucchini, finely shredded
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup walnut , chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  3. In a large bowl, mix together the applesauce, mashed bananas and sugar.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and cocoa. Mix until well-combined.

  5. Then add the baking soda, salt, and zucchini. Mix until evenly distributed.

  6. Add flour and walnuts. Gently fold it into the mixture.

  7. Spread the mixture evenly into the baking dish.

  8. Bake for 25 minutes until brownies spring back when gently touched.
  9. Serve warm and indulge in a fudgy, zucchini-filled brownie!
