  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar, divided
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp cream of tartar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat the butter and ½ cup of granulated sugar until creamed. Add egg, vanilla, and brown sugar. Continue creaming. Scrape the sides clean.
  3. Then add the baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and flour. Fold until evenly incorporated.
  4. In a small bowl, mix remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Scoop your cookie dough then dredge each dough ball in the mix. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Place on a wire rack to cool and serve.
